I am in love with a mountain. And a lake. The mountain is called 'Seekofel' and the lake is 'Pragser Wildsee' in Italy.
The atmosphere is so special. Very peaceful and magic. Especially when you walk around the lake in the early morning to be on time for hiking on the summit of Seekofel. Or when there is fog.
Another reason for the special atmosphere is the hotel 'Hotel Pragser Wildsee'. It has quite some history: The 'Süddeutsche Zeitung' wrote an article in which it is explained that VIP's who were persecuted by the Nazis were imprisoned in the hotel. One could think that they could have had worse luck but as a matter of fact they constantly had to be afraid to be shot all of a sudden.
The lake is to be reached by car at the end of a valley. Every highway is far away and there is also no village close-by. All I know is that I will spend one or two nights in this hotel once in my life.
